Fun with plaster!
Turn old things into something new and cool, cover them in plaster pads. Moisten the plaster pads in water, then turn the object around. First we covered the plate with plastic sheet, then we covered the bottom with plaster pads. When it was dry, we turned it over and placed an old lace cloth on it and over that a layer of plaster so the cloth "melted" into the plate.
