Contrasting jewellery!
Blending materials gives your jewellery a nice contrast. BRACELET WITH THIN LEATHER CORD: Cut several leather cords to approx. 30 cm. One cord will be approx. 65 cm; fold it in the middle and use the loop for the clasp. Assemble the cords together into a bundle; let the loop stick out a little bit. To secure the bundle, put a bit of glue on the edge, then wrap one cord securely around it; allow the glue to dry. Wrap the bracelet around your wrist and secure the bundle (wrap around a cord) at the other end, making it the proper length for your wrist. Cut the cord so that it sticks out a few cm, but save a few longer pieces that you can tie to the loop. Attach the beads to the cord with head pins. BRACELET WITH CHAIN: Cut the chain to about 5 cm less than your wrist. Take two nylon threads (about 20 cm) and thread one through each end. Lay them on top of one another and tie about 5 cm of macramé knots. Now you have completed the clasp. Learn how to macramé in the instructions Macramé below.
